Housed in the historic palazzo that was Italy’s first Cassa di Risparmio central bank headquarters; solid opulence from the early Thirties is on full display. The lobby shimmers with the original green Cipollino marble, first imported from Greece to Rome in ancient times, and a spectacular backlit onyx panel that glimmers with cascading water, with onyx panels reprised in the adjacent bar. A small, ventilated cognac bar with oversized leather armchairs where guests can smoke cigars is one of the few indoor smoking rooms in Rome.
